The Inside Scoop

Why an elephant for your logo?
The elephant has always been a favorite animal for us both. It represents many nostalgic memories in both of our lives and it has now been carried on into our relationship together (we actually collect them from every new country we visit). It represents grounded memories and is said to bring prosperity to your home which we think is very special. When it was time to choose a logo, we felt it was a fitting representation of us both and our business and stuck to it ever since!

When not behind the lens what is your favorite pastime?
We love traveling, eating well, and being in good company!

Christian, when & why did you pick up photography?
I picked up photography as a way to explore creating a livelihood that drives my passion for visual aesthetics in a way that I truly enjoy and continues to evolve throughout my life. Although it may not have been a lifelong dream, the moment I discovered it, it truly became and is still a growing passion of mine.

Who is your main inspiration?
Genesis: Growing up I was a huge fan of Martha Stewart. Every time I was at the checkout lane at any store, I always asked my mom to purchase the newest Martha Stewart Living or Wedding magazine. As I grew a bit older, I became totally obsessed with Emily Schuman of Cupcakes & Cashmere and Anna Wintour has always been an icon.
Christian: It constantly changes but currently I’d have to say, Paul Thomas Anderson, Henry Cartier, Alex Webb, Sal Leiter, Alex Soth & Francois Halard.

What destinations are on your bucket list?
We LOVE to travel. So many beautiful places to visit and see. At this moment, Christian’s top pick is Japan and Genesis is Africa.

What are some of your current favorite Miami wedding venues? Funny enough, our favorite Miami wedding venues are private residences. It’s a wonderful way to make a wedding your own and it tends to hold a stronger sentimental value which is an extra bonus. Apart from that, we are totally loving Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club, Faena Hotel Miami Beach, Perez Art Museum, and The Deck at Island Gardens.

Favorite destination wedding location?
Every destination wedding we’ve done so far has been truly incredible. Antigua, Guatemala was our first so it definitely holds some sentimental value for us. We’ve done Greece twice now and if we could do it every Summer, we’d be thrilled. It’s such a magical place. Our bucket-list destination wedding would be somewhere in France. Possibly a Paris wedding and a South of France wedding.
